My grandmother out of everyone always gives me the most heck about my makeup and my over all appearance. It's shocking because she's one of my closest relatives but hey, what can ya do? Although she has always been my biggest supporter yet my smallest supporter she has these tendencies to make fun of my way of life and the certain choices that I make. Like for instance: I choose to put Baby Powder on my face because it helps control the amount of grease that I have on my face. As you probably know by now I have a very oily complexion and that my friends is embarrassing. If I don't use the baby powder my makeup will slip and slide around my face and my face will shine. Gross isn't it?? I know, that's why I put it on there, to prevent that. My grandmother can't seem to understand that. Every now and then she'll make fun of it , tell me I look like Casper, cake face, etc. You name it , she's said it. Of course, it hurts my feelings. Generally I have tough skin but when it comes to how I look it's hard to deny that hurt. I believe the problem I have is believing that I'm beautiful. I get compliments all the time but I brush them off of my shoulder because I can't believe that they're true in any sense. It sucks. Trust me here. I hate feeling this way. I guess what's important here is the fact that I NEED to know and believe that I AM beautiful. And if you have doubts then you need to do the same exact thing. We're all beautiful. No matter what any one else has to say about it. I wake up every morning with little to zero confidence and that's about to change.
Make today a better day and let's raise that self esteem level. Not only will it make you happy but it'll make the people around you happy as well. My mom can't stand hearing me down myself, neither can my boyfriend so , I'm sure the day I stop doing it they'll be very proud. Life will sail smoother if we all believe that inside and out we're truly beautiful.
Take my word for it. Let's all work on it together.
I love you all :)
